Guinness & Timmermans created this amazing blend of 3 unique beers: Guinness West Indies Porter (1801), Guinness Special Export (first brewed in 1944 exclusively for John Martin) and Timmermans Oude Kriek (the world’s oldest lambic brewery).
Note: As of mid 2024 Guinness West Indies Porter is no longer part of the blend.
A unique dark beer with a subtle pink hue in the foam. Aromas of chocolate, oak & cherry. Full flavoured and beautifully balanced.

375ml bottle. Almost black colour with minimally late awakening, small, frothy, fading, off-white head. Sweet-ish fruity and chocolately, dark malty aroma, notes of cherry and chocolate, weak oaky and very weak funky overtones. Taste is sweet-and-sour fruity and chocolately, dark malty, slightly woody, notes of cherry, black cherry, milk chocolate, dark chocolate, cherry-flavoured chocolate. Creamy-watery texture, smooth and super soft, minimally cloying palate, fine, soft carbonation. Very homogenous, almost a tad simple and monotonous - nice.

Bottle. Pretty much black with a cm of light tan head. Aroma has lots of cherries before funk, coffee and roast. Pretty much how it tastes too. There's too much cherry and too much to make you wonder if this was how Guinness used to taste (unlike Hop Nation/ Wildflower's Us) but it's pretty good. Twiggy and a bit bitter at the end.

375 ml corked & caged bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 6%. This is now a blend of Guinness Special Export and Timmermans Oude Kriek only, Guinness West Indies Porter is no longer part of the blend. Mahogany colour, huge and creamy beige head. Distinct aroma of sour cherries, cherry kernels and marzipan, discrete notes of chocolate and roast malts. The fairly sweet and slightly sour flavour has the same elements, the roast malts are astonishingly subdued. A fun experiment, but I prefer the Guinness Special Export on its own.

Bottle 375ml @ yngwie. Shared by shalg. Pours dark brown with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, fruit and chocolate. Taste is medium sweet and light sour with a long fruity, caramel and chocolate finish. Body is medium, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is soft.

Bottle from Beer Love: pours dark brown with beige head. Aroma is some chocolate, cherry and vinegar. Nice combination of flavors where the lambic brings out the chocolatey sweetness in the Guinness. Weird but it kind of works.

Bottle, 375ml corked. A dark brown beer, clear, with a dense, finger-thick beige head. Fruity aroma, both fresh and dried fruit, some funk and a oaked, oxidized touch. It's medium bodied, semi-sour, and softly carbonated, with a mostly fruity, berryish flavor. Some roasted and lemony hints. Lasting finish. A strange one, a bit dull, but sort of interesting. 240224

That’s one of the most original beers I’ve ever had. A little bit of funk and tartness, but with a strong roasty finish. Honestly a lot better than it sounds. And paired with the Guinness chocolate cake for dessert 🤤

Poured from 375mL bottle (pkg 31/10/2019). Dark brown with small beige head. Raisin, mild caramel, sweet balsamic-like quality. With the age, it's starting to verge on a sweet oud bruin quality, no roast quality left. Bit of an odd combo, but decent.
