Guinness & Timmermans created this amazing blend of 3 unique beers: Guinness West Indies Porter (1801), Guinness Special Export (first brewed in 1944 exclusively for John Martin) and Timmermans Oude Kriek (the world’s oldest lambic brewery).
Note: As of mid 2024 Guinness West Indies Porter is no longer part of the blend.
A unique dark beer with a subtle pink hue in the foam. Aromas of chocolate, oak & cherry. Full flavoured and beautifully balanced.

Very dark with ruby highlights. Bold cherry notes with chocolate, light sour cherry, some faint roasted malt. Medium to full body. Finish has sour cherry and noticeable sweetness. It’s a fine beer and a fun one to try.

Bottle shared at home with the crew.

375ml bottle. Pours a very deep dark reddy brown, huge beige head. Aroma of cherries, mild chocolate and roast, light funk and woody notes. Taste is the same, the Kriek portion of this dominates at first, cherries, mild funk, oak. From the Guinness portion there is chocolate and mild roast, but it's a little muted compared to the Kriek. Light bodied.
This was actually a lot better than I was expecting after reading some reviews here, possibly because the blend skewed towards the Kriek, I think it worked surprisingly well.

Вкус очень странный, запах сразу кислый но при этом кофейный. Цвет черный, но не густой по телу. Вкус если честно странный. Как будто прокисший стаут, еще зерна кофе на финише. Прикольно но очень странно.

Bottle from a local bottle shop. Aroma is sweetish cherry with dark malt, notes of dark fruits, a touch of chocolate and wood. Flavour is mildly tart and sweet with a light bitterness, body is medium. Not more than the sum of its parts, but a likeable dark Sour/Kriek.

(Bottle) Black colour with frothy, beige head. Roasted, fruity nose with notes of dark bread, liquorice, coffee, chocolate, orange peel and cherries. Roasted, malty, slightly tart taste with dark bread, nuts, coffee, dark chocolate, orange peel, cherries and a mild roasty bitterness in the finish. More than medium body, quite dry. Interesting and complex, with a good acidity. Nice one.

Bottle 0,37 ltr with cork: Black with brown/red glow colored brew with an subtle sour taste, the Belgian cherry hints ruled over the Irish roasted malts and chocolate. Nicely commercial collab brew.
