Donkerbruin bier met weinig schuim. Smaak is zoet en kruidig met iets van kandij en karamel. Best een fijn bier voor iemand die van de wat zoetere en kruidigere bieren houdt.

On tap at Micro Bar, pours a clear copper golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out Belgian esters upfront, with candied sugar, and some bubblegum. Flavour is rather musty, with earthy notes, candied sugar and bubblegum. Rather flat and lacking depth. It's uninspiring, but decent enough.

Thick beige-amber head over fully hazy red-brown beer. Fusels², yeast features, hot, godknowswhat Belgian yeasts used as what maishing temperatures. Hot bread, dried fruit. Bitterish-sweet-fruity-yeasty. Liquorice, dried plums, fusels obvious. Bit soupy finish... coriander? Also notes of fresh pipe tobacco. Hot, very well-bodied, viscous-slick, alcoholwarming. Not the best features remaining in the aftertaste. It's a caricature - succesfull - of some Belgian strong ales. But definitely not the right thing.

Dark brown with thin head. Aroma is very strong with sweet dried fruits. Flavour is similar but also has a little bit of sweet spiciness. Jammy.

19th Nov 2018. Monthly Share Group meeting in Chez Sophie, Shrewsbury, only three of us this time. Cheers Mike for this 330ml bottle; BB 24th Jan 2019. Poured a little misty, red hue to the mahogany coloured body, beige topping. Sweet, figs and dates in the taste, aroma malty, different and nice.

Keg at LBA. It pours clear deep with a small white head. The aroma is earthy, tangy, juicy, figgy pudding, blackcurrant, jam and candy. The taste is slick, sweet, juicy, figgy, blackberry, sugary, candy, tannin and some booze with a tangy finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Fruity and jammy.
