0,75l from bottle at Stefans place, shared by me. Bottled 04/2019. Almost black color, small tan head. Smells earthy, peppery, lightly funky, grassy, light dried fruits, very light marzipan. Very nice smell, very subtle flavors. Full body, soft carbonation. Tastes of dried fruits, cherries, some marzipan, lightly nutty, cherry skin, bit peppery. Finishes medium dry and lightly sour with notes of cherry skin, peppery and nutty notes, light grape. Nice one, usually I am not a fan of dark Saisons, but this one has a very subtle balance and is great to drink, very good one 8,4,8, 4,16

750 ml bottle, bottled 04/2019,shared by Werckmeister, thanks. Dark brown body, with a big, fluffy, beige head. Aroma of citrus, dark berries, straw, honey, dark bread, some dark chocolate. Tastes similar, with even more citrus. Medium, slick mouthfeel, with a moderate carbonation. Finishes smooth, citric, moderate roasty, fruity, a bit yeasty, a bit bready. Tasty. Really interesting mix of citric fruits, yeasty notes and smooth dark malts. Balanced and pretty complex, lovely, characterful stuff. Score: 8 / 4 / 8 / 4 / 16

Thnx to Koen ! Pours dark brown, small white head. Smell is full, roasty ( roasted beef, almost ! ) sweet, mild caramelly notes. Taste us surprising. Tart, not sweet at all. Roasty, but not like your average, roasted malt kinda aroma. Dark, earthy, woody almost. very complex, unique. A Delight to have tasted this .

Bottle into a taster showing deep brown with sparse latte colored foam. The nose shows clean light notes of barnyard and roasted coffee bean. The palate is well carbonated and medium bodied. Lightly tart with moderately intense flavors of clean Belgian yeast, lemon drops, and roasted coffee bean.

Bottle. Willy’s Store, Greensboro, VT. Gloopy pour. Dark brown. Super sticky, lasting, beige head. Nose has dark fruit. Some plum and fig. A little woody and ashy. Hint of liquorice. As well, it has that completely distinctive, Hill Farmstead yeasty twang. Taste is lightly sour and balsamic sweet. Dries out significantly. Not keen on the mouthfeel. It’s stringy and gloopy. Balsamic twang to finish. Nice enough, but miles off expectations.
