Bottle, 5.4%. Smoky and cardboardy aroma. Very dark brown colour with a red shine, seems clear. Very small, bubbly light brown head. The flavour is nicely smoked, subtly, but still distinct. A sort of woody charcoal smoke. The aftertaste has more smoke, getting a bit more towards salami, and with some goat flavour. Thin mouthfeel, but this suits the beer fine. One-dimensional, but I like it a lot.

Bottle. A dark brown beer with a reddish tint and an off-white head. Mocha, chocolate, coffee, some sourish notes and a dryish touch in the aroma. Not much smoke detected there, but sure fine. Chocolate, mocha and a sour touch in the flavor, finishing with a lasting roastyness. Full to medium body. A nice beer, but they should have used more smoked malt I think. (071123)

Bottle at Stockholm Beer Festival 2007
Dark brown to black color. It’s quite easy, with some caramel flavor, sweetish, the body is a bit thin. Nothing special but at least there is a light smokey touch to make it better.

(Bottle, Stockholm Beer Festival, 22 Sep 2007) Black colour with ruby notes when seen through light, frothy pale brown head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of chocolate and hints of smoke. Malty, roasted taste with chocolate, delicate smoke, notes of coffee and a fairly dry finish with nice chocolate bitterness. Rather delicate smokiness, but lovely balance.

Bottled at Stockholm Beer Festival. Really dark brown. Toasty licorice aroma with balanced amounts of beeshwood smokiness. Medium bodied with fairly clean mouthfeel. Tarry bitterish finish. Really good flavourwise, could use a bit more malt depth.

bottle
Dark brown with an OK head. Light roasted aroma with notes of sweet toffee. Somewhat smoked flavour with notes of chocolate. I expected more smoke.
