Chamomellow is an herbal golden ale infused with chamomile, which provides an enticing floral aroma. Chamomile is one of the oldest garden herbs used by ancient Egyptians and other cultures to battle illness, promote calm and relieve anxiety, hence the name Chamomellow. Dedicated to Caleb McLoughlin, a revolutionary brewer who created this elixir at Rogue’s Issaquah Brewhouse and won a Gold medal in the Herbs & Spice category at the 2003 Great American Beer Festival.

Chamemollow is created from Northwest Harrington and Klages, and Maier Munich Malts (18% speciality grains, .19 lbs grain per bottle). Kent Golding and Cascade hops, and infused with Chamomile. Available in a limited edition 22-ounce bottles (originally as Test Batch 1 - Gold Medal Series), and on draft at Rogue’s six Public Houses.

b>Draught @ Rogue Ale House, San Francisco as ”Buckman Village Chamomellow”. Rated on 19.07.2012
Very light aroma with some sweetish peach and hints of citron. Flavour has bun dough, some peach, hints of hay and citrus. Weird, a bit watery but drinkable.

Location: Draft at Rogue SF, 5/12/11, as Buckman Chamomellow

Aroma: The aroma obviously has some chamomile, in addition, some honey and malts
Appearance: The pour is hazy and golden in color with a small white head
Flavor: The taste is overly sweet, made up of honey, chamomile, spice, and some fruity notes
Palate: This one is fairly light, and the cloying mouthfeel harms the drinkability significantly
Overall Impression: This was some really odd stuff that I didn't really enjoy too much. It was too sweet for my taste buds. The sweetness was cloying. I didn't really enjoy this one.

On tap at the Rogue Public House in San Francisco (Listed as "Rogue Buckman Chamamellow"). Pours with a hazed golden hue and a small, but lasting white head. Aromas are spicy, floral, flowers, honey, tea and chamomile. Flavors are spicy, jasmine, chamomile. A bit biting. Herbal, tea, a bit earthy. Bitter finish. Lively bubbles, medium to light body. The herbal component makes it hard to drink. Smooth and bitter in the finish. Interesting beer!

Pours hazy crazy copper - straw with white head. The aroma is bold sugar sweet malts and chamomile tea. Smells syrupy really. IT gets near to but doesn’t achieve a pepper sensation. The taste is smooth and sugar sweet with mild malts and chamomile backed by a honey and hard candy goodness. Wow, very tasty.

Draft at Rogue in Newport as Rogue Chamomellow. A dark golden beer with a thin white head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of caramel and chamomile. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of chamomile - almost too much, leading to a lightly dry and bitter finish. A mixture of a chamomile tea and beer.

Draught, brewed at Issaquah Golden beer with greenish shine, and some white rim. Definitely chamomille nose, obvious but not overpowering, rather nice & inviting, honeyish. Gives a very strange - again honeyish - chamomille flavour. Very acceptable, spicey character. Light, springtime-like palate, if you catch my drift. Some slickness. Nice, original beer.

Hazy light gold with no head. Overwhelming chamomille infusion with honey, medicinal in nature. Hoppy cold chamomille tea, fruity esters, like peach, with a bizarre mouthfeel, didnt care for it much. On tap at Rogue Ales Public House, SF, August 2005.

Hazy yellow-amber colour. Slightly flowery aroma with clean malts backing it up. Light character with soft chamomile notes and biscuity pale malts in the background.
