Dark brown to black pour from draft tannish head. Seriously strong mint aroma that follows up - like Andes chocolate followed up by roasty malt. Pretty nice.

Can from the brewery. Cloudy black, thinning, dark beige head. Aroma of 'After 8' chocolates, fondant, chocolate sauce, mint & herbs, toothpaste, vanilla. Taste has sweet chocolate sauce, dark fudge, vague almond and lots of spicy, herbal and - evidently - minty notes surrounding it. Peppery hops in the finish, soft toast and roasty fondant, lots of mint, chocolate sauce and After 8 candy, as well as some warming (herbal) liqueur-like alcohol. Full body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Bit too reminiscent of toothpaste if you think too much about it, but otherwise well 'concocted'.

Olin 100% kindel, et olen seda proovinud, aga ajalooannaalide järgi olen ainult BA-d proovinud.. Magus, mõru, tummine, siirupine, šokolaadine, kakaone, nats hapukas, mündine, alkone, suhkrune. Ok, selline siirupine baas on rohkem BA asjade jaoks...

Imperial stout flavoured with cocoa and mint, 75 cl bottle from Bierhalle Deconinck. Mousy, mocha-beige, medium thick, creamy head opening in the middle, pitch black robe with thin mahogany edges. Aroma of indeed old and dry peppermint leaves but also (pronounced) After Eight mint chocolate, 'fondant' chocolate as well from the malts, cola, cinnamon, mocha ice cream, whisky, incense, bayleaf, gingerbread, dried figs, gin botanicals, almond, toffee, nougat. Sweet onset, chocolate-coated raisins, very light meaty umami accent, medium but 'refined' carb, thick and viscous, syrupy mouthfeel; big and heavy walnutty, toffeeish and dark-chocolatey malt body, with the chocolate aspect of course accentuated by the added cocoa. Almond- and toast-like hints as well, but that herbal, ethereal mint effect rules the finish, with - combined with the chocolate - again a flavour reminiscent of 'After Eight' (chocolate with mint). Some sticky chocolate sweetness in the end eve, but countered by a dash of spicy hops and warming, whisky-like alcohol. The cocoa and mint combo lingers after that. Delivers exactly what it promises, a flavour combination of chocolate and mint which is something you'll have to like; I personally am not the greatest mint fan, but admittedly this flavour construction is built on a very solid, Perennial quality level stout here - so even if this beer is not really my cup of tea due to the mint and was never going to be a top Perennial for me, I still enjoyed it because of its flawless execution and strong basic features.
