Nice crisp golden coloured body with a bit of haze and a nice white head. Aroma of fresh grass, a good malt and subtle yet refined hops. Medium-bodied; Strong assertive malt up front with the grassy and yeastie feel of a saison. Aftertaste shows some complexity - white sugar and apricots come out as well. Overall, a decent beer, not amazing - but definitely worth trying! I sampled this beer on draught at Rustico in Alexandria, Virginia on 15-January-2009.

On tap @ the brewery, served in a plastic cup (12oz?). No clarity, cloudy, misty, yellow. Smell is definitly a Saison, very strong though - citrus, grassy, strong on the lemon side of citrus. Body is medium-heavy. Flavor is similiar to aroma, but too overpowering for a Saison, I would perfer it t be a bit more subdued. Not balanced well, becomes to lemony. The mouth feel is very bubbly, shoots around in the mouth.

Hazy blonde with a thick white head. Pleasant cardamom and bananas in aroma. In mouth, more like a strong hefeweizen with cardamom, cloves, and bananas. Medium bodied. On tap at the CNY Brewfest 2006.

On tap at Fynske Øldage, Odense, Denmark. Hazy golden-yellow with a very dense head and fine lacings. Aroma of citrus, grain, coriander, and yeast. Much the same in flavor. Refreshing beer. Reminded me more of a wit than of a saison. (051029)

I am not a big fan of the Saison style but I could not resist the opportunity to try this one. Sampled on draft at the Sharp Edge in Pittsburgh this beer pours a medium golden color with a small white head. The aroma is light sweet malts with a peppery undertone. The flavor is sweet malts with pepper and citrus. There is a bit of an alcohol burn. The finish is peppery.

(On tap) Hazy pilsener golden with a creamy, white head. Distinct aroma of yeast. Dry body with notes of yeast and diacetyl. Quite rustic and not really that interesting. Nowhere near a Wallonian Saison. 281005

Draught. Golden colour. Spicy aroma. Small, tight, creamy head. Citric flavour. Very nice. Reminds me very much of a wit.

[At GABF 2004] An unclear orange beer with a white head. The aroma is lovely spicy, but the spices in the flavor is quite weird - but I can’t put my finger on the weirdness.

On draught @ Redbones Feb 2005. Yellow-gold body, lightly hazy, small white head, decent retention. Aroma of clove, bubble gum, a touch of honey and lightly dry hops. Flavor begins with a big Belgian Witbier sort of thing. Bubble gum, sugar and coriander. Not sure why they thought making this a wibier would be much like a saison, as it’s not. Not much to identify this as a saison. A bit of a belgian yeastiness as it warms, but not much else. Good, but not a saison.
