Bottle. Black body under a thin beige head. Aroma has dark malt, chocolate and fruit in the crossing between dry fruit and red berries. Taste is dark malt, chocolate, vinous alcohol and boozy alcohol. Fine body and long-lasting aftertaste. Quite solid, but ending up too boozy, sweet and unbalanced.

Bottle. Pours pitch black with a medium brown head. Aromas of coffee roast, cherries, brownie, some acid, fruity bitterness, caramel sweetness. Taste is roasty, coffee beans, fruity sweetness, some dark bitter chocolate, malosses, dark sweet fruits.

330 ml bottle. Pours an inky black with light head. Aromas of marshmallows, dark fruit, black coffee and radiated malts. Sweet rich alcoholic flavors of same. First time for the George base! Inspiring. Well suited for all the variants

Bottle. Best by date pretty undefinable, but I assume by memory this is the 2013 vintage ? Pours black, small, dark head with minimal, but existing stability.Smell is very roasty, creamy, tad of the fruityness comes trough. Taste is a bit oxidized, mild booze background note. Dark chocolate, very purely so, and growing towards the aftertaste. Roasty. Even though it shows very oxidative at first, this one turns out quite OK. Thick body, low carbo.

Bottle, 2015 thanks to Ben! Pours opaque black, small brown creamy head, dissipates fairly slowly, good lacing. Aroma is cocoa, molasses, cherries, oak. Flavor is fully sweet, light plus bitter, cherry, oak, vinous, roasted malts, molasses, baking cocoa. Full body, creamy mouthfeel. Neat beer.

Imperial stout #200. Bottle, BB 2023 (from Etre gourmet). Pours black with dark brown head. The head stays for some moments. Aroma is sweet, sour, vinous, port wine, chocolate, roast. Flavor is sweet, bitter, and sour, dark chocolate, roast, port, oak, licorice. Feels sticky and thick. Drinkability is ok. Finish is dry-oak-dark chocolate-ash bitter with alcohol warmth. Overall: very good, but this is still my least favorite George version.

Bottle shared at Ariel’s farewell tasting at Max’s place. Black with some light brown foam. Aroma of spicy wood, chocolate, dark fruits, a bit of soy sauce, and a bit of booziness. Sweet flavor with chocolate, roast, dark fruits (some cherry notes), vinous notes, vanilla, and a bitterish note. Full-bodied. Great stuff.

Bottle @sbwf15. Last 2cl... Pours black with a thin brown head, not much head to talk about. Cherry nose, dark ashy, roasty, woody, Bourbon nose. Flavor has wood, salty licorice, dark chocolate, ashy notes, cherry notes in the finish . Very complex. Sweet, heavy.
