Bottle split at Level 42, thanks to Kenny, 07/09/16. Extremely dark mahogany brown with a decent khaki head. Nose is light pine needle, straw, charr, light cocoa, earthy hops. Taste comprises big chalky minerals, spice, black pepper, charr, burnt notes, toffee, cocoa rub. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with earthy hop bitterness. Decent enough CDA, ticks the boxes but a bit raw.

Bottle shared at the level 42 tasting 7/9/2016. Many thanks to Kenny for this one. A dark black coloured pour with a frothy light tan head. Aroma is woody resinous pine, tangy, roast, stale. Flavour is composed of woody toast, piney hop with a little tangy lemon rind. Assertive sharp hop bitterness, grapefruit. Lingering smoked pine. Palate is grainy, highish carbonation, frothy. Decent.

Bottle thanks to Kenny at level 42. It pours deep brown with a thick tan head. The aroma is piney, varnish, toasty malts, coffee grounds, earthy, toasted nuts and orange peel. The taste is bitter, toasty, roasted malt, piney, varnish, soapy citrus, peppery spice and alcohol with a dry, roasty finish. Medium body and high carbonation. A bit harsh and slightly acidic. Not for me.

Bottle shared in London - big thanks to Kenny the birthday boy! Pours brown with a big, frothy khaki head. Nice aroma, subtly floral, with notes of grapefruit, pine. Medium sweet flavour with flinty minerals, burnt grass, jammy citrus, orange. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Moderately bitter on the finish, grassy, with some oily pine, rindy orange. Enjoyable CDA.

Sampled from bottle @ Danish Ratebeer Gathering 2016, Ulfborg, Day 2. Dark brown color with a deep dark red glare coming through when held into the light, medium sized light brown colored head that lasts for quite a while. Both aroma and flavor have a nice mix of hops and (roasted) malts, nice malt and hop bitter finish. Quite dry finish. Medium body and carbonation. Nice!
