The blond, low-alcohol beer is based upon a slightly smoked 'Saison'. For over a year the beer softly ripened and soured in oak barrels together with passion fruit. The pleasant sourness is when drinking rounded off by a gentle bitterness, partly created by the refined smoky touch. The name is kind of an homage to a dear friend of the Vermeersch family, the monk Father Harry. This religious man was for a large part of his life ‘the boss’ of a monastic order, the ‘Passionate Brothers’! The pun on passionfruit is an extra.

Pours unclear blonde, no real head. Smell is passion fruit. Taste is full, passion fruit. mild smokey touch. Nice, even though I usually hate smoke. The passion fruit is very powerfull, natural , and makes the beer way better.

Keg at Six D N, Aberdeen. It pours cloudy bright orange with a small white head. The aroma is soft, juicy sweet, sour, big passion fruit vibes, dried mango, peachy, tangy, funky and floral vibes. The taste is crisp, dry, tart, puckering, nip of acidity earthy, funky, musty, passion fruit, dirty mouldy peach, earthy, tannin and earth with a drying finish. Medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. Works rather well. Nice fruit and funk.

Bottle at home. Hazy golden with fluffy white head. Tart wheat, passionfruit, light spices, bready, lemon, soft funk and oak, a bit of earthy smoke too. Medium sour, light sweet and bitter. Medium bodied. The passionfruit is quite light but adds a nice extra. Similar too the anniversary Cuvée.

On tap in the Bier Paleis, Brugge on 4th July 2019. Hazy orange pour, white top. Semi-sour, semi-sweet with a Passion fruit feel in the nose and taste, almost interesting!

Damn backlog, could've been first! :p
Very cloudy blond to beige beer, creamy off-white head, stable, adhesive, leaving some lacing in the glass. Aroma: dirty, cow fodder, hay, funky, slightly fruity, some vanilla notes, lactose maybe? MF: ok carbon, medium to light body. Taste: super smoky, very weird, peated notes, sourish touch, some dead yeast, spicy touch, more smoke. Weird one. Don't like it one little bit...
