An accessible but full-flavoured golden ale with a hoppy aroma. Its refreshing flavour and crisp bitter aftertaste soon invite for more. Strandgaper is a friendly beer with a strong personality.

A cloudy, light yellow beer with a medium and white head. Aroma is (belgian)fruity, yeast, some lemon, herbs and dryness. Taste is slightly fruitfull and biscuity, quite dry and slightly biting herbs are highlighted in the aftertaste. Medium- bodied, fresh and nice carbonation enhanced freshness. Nice belgian ale, quite similar than La Trappe Puur.

33cl bottle from Westholme Stores, Goring. Hazy amber with a ring of white head; sour, grainy aroma; smooth, buttery, malty flavour leading to a warming, butterscotch finish. Very satisfying.

Flaske 0,33l på ’t Antwaerps Bierhuiske 28 Apr 11. Aprikosfarget. Høyt luftig skum. Uklar. God krydderaroma. Fin fruktig & krydret smak. Litt for søt - men god.

On Tap at The Morningstar, Utrecht, Netherlands 26.09.11 Pours a washed out gold colour in fact next to the Witheer by the same brewery there is not a lot of difference I had to sniff them to suss out what was what as the bar lady herself was confused after placing them down. Touch thin and wishy-washy in the mouth, not a lot to rave about this beer however also not much to criticise either, its just ok. A6 A3 T6 P3 Ov12 3.0

Bottle at Cafe Buitenlust, Oirschot. Had this a while ago, don’t really remember much (no notes taken unfortunately) which is generally a sign that the beer was average in all ways.

Decent beer. I didn’t like the mouthfeel, but other than that it doesn’t have any big negative sides.

330ml bottle with a great illustration on the label. The bottle was picked up from the fridge at ‘t Antwaerps Bierhuiske and shared with Finn. Chalk white, one finger head to a straw-golden body with a slight haze to the last pour. Candy sweet smell along with tropical fruits. The flavour is a blend of fresh and sweet fruits added by a lighter touch of spices. Very dry, subdued bitter ending (Antwerpen, 28.04.2011).

Warning! Early amateur rating! Golden colured beer. Crisp palate. Good carbonation. Wheaty malt with a little tangyness.

Long creamy biscuity finish with a hint of sour malt. Nice.
