Impenetrabile color mogano con riflessi rubino. Schiuma cappuccino, aderente allo stile, compatta e persistente.

Draft @ Moeder Lambic Fontainas. Reste solide.

Pours black with a large, lasting head.Loads of coffee on the nose along with a fair bit of roasted malt, oatmeal and soft spicy hops.Flavours are pretty much just roasted malt and bitter coffee along with a fair bit of sharp booze.Loads too much carbonation.Nice, but not enough roast and too much booze.

(Draught at Chez Moeder Lambic Fontainas, Brussels, 18 Oct 2012) Black colour with creamy, beige head. Roasted, malty nose with freshly ground coffee, cacao, dark chocolate and dark fruit. Roasted, malty taste with notes of black coffee, cacao, dark chocolate, dark fruit and a fairly sweet finish with a generous coffee bitterness and a certain alcohol bite. Almost full body, slightly sweetish. Very nice with a generous coffee character.

25 cl. draft @ Chez Moeder Lambic Fontainas – expected a dubbel or so going by these guys work but got an impy stout instead – neat – very dark brown / black with a creamy mocha head – smell is bitter roast; nuts; sweet mocha; coffee – taste is bitter mocha roast, light hops; quite a bit too much for the strength of this one; alcohol is strongly felts; once again quite a bit for the strength of this one, roast; toffee, coffee, liquorice, berries, coffee; bitter roast; coffee – definitely a bit too raw and unpolished – body is def. going towards lighter; easier – okay or perhaps going to neat in a category that is beyond too overloaded for a while

Bottled. A murky brown beer with a huge brown head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt and hints of coffee. The flavor is sweet with notes of chocolate, coffee, and roasted malt, leading to a dry roasted coffee finish. Thanks yespr for sharing.
