29/IX/17 - 37.5cl bottle from Bierhalle Deconinck (Vichte) @ home - BB: 14/II/37 (2017-1736)

Clear dark black beer, big aery fizzy irregular beige to brown head, unstable, dissipates quickly. Aroma: very roasted, sweetish, dark chocolate, some caramel, lots of CO2. MF: very lively carbon, medium body. Taste: very roasted, bitterness, bit sweet, sourish touch, bitter chocolate, some caramel, lactose, straight forward, sugary, not very complex. Aftertaste: very roasted, bitter hops, caramel, alcohol, some dark and milk chocolate.

Bouteille 33cl de BBP. BB 04/2019. Brune foncée, col épais café au lait retombant assez vite. Arôme est malté, bien chocolaté avec léger rétro mettant l'accent sur le lactose, sans être surfait. Palais est asse haut en effervescence, enlevant un peu de l'effet attendu en bouche. Retrouve un effet alcool bien marqué avec un chocolaté généreux. Le palais reste sec avec un léger effet de fin de bouche centré sur les grains. Houblonné modéré qui apporte une balance correcte. L'ajout lactose donne une certaine douceur résiduelle et presque une pointe aigrelette -lactique.

Keg at Brussels Beer Project, Brussels, Belgium. A black coloured pour with a thin beige head on top. Sweet, roasty, fruity, chocolate aroma. Tastes the same, sweet, roasty, fruity, chocolate. Decent sweet stout.

Bxlbeerfest. Pours black. Aroma is cocoa, roast, coffee, malt. Flavor is sweet and bitter, mint, roast, caramel, lactose. Overall: good.

7 3 8 3 16 Draft at BXL Beer Fest, Brussels ’17. Near black with a ring beige head. Aroma of licorice, herbs, chocolate, roast, lactose and caramel. Flavour is above moderate sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with light carbonation.

From tap. Pours pitch black with a small brown head. Aroma is roasted dark malty to chocolate. Sweet, roasted, dark malty. Sweet and chocolate malty finish.

Hazy dark brown, nice light tanned head. Nose is chocolate, dark malts, some licorice. Taste is soft roast, hints of licorice, some chocolate.
