Beaverfest. Keg. Almost clear gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Light and semi dry palate, decent fine minerally carbonation. Thin floral hop mid. Insipid citrus and a little citric peel. Light dry finish. Pretty clean but uninspiring.

Sunday 9th Sep 2018. Half-litre on tap inside the brewery biergarten. Bright golden pour, white crown. Crisp, dry and refreshing, light grassy aroma, light malty lead to the taste, hops arriving later in the finish.

Bottle at home from the Wine Society. This is a typical German pilsner with malt and hops and no personality what so ever. Why do the Germans make such boring beer? And to think I paid nearly £3 for this!

500 ml bottle into lager glass, bottled on 12/19/2017. Pours crystal clear pale golden yellow color with a 1 finger fairly dense and rocky white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice dense soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of cracker, white bread dough, toasted biscuit, light nuttiness/pepper, and herbal/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance of pale malt and light-moderate earthy hop notes; with good strength. Taste of cracker, white bread dough, toasted biscuit, light nuttiness/pepper, and herbal/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate herbal, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of cracker, white bread dough, toasted biscuit, light nuttiness, pepper, and herbal/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Great robustness and balance of pale malt and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and zero astringent hop flavors after the finish. Moderately crisp/clean finishing. Perfectly clean on lager flavors, with zero yeast notes present. Light-moderate increasing dryness from bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth and moderately bready/grainy/sticky balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4.9%. Overall this is an excellent German pilsner! All around great robustness and balance of pale malt and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; very smooth, crisp, clean, and refreshing to drink. Very flavorful and never watery for the ABV. Very clean and nicely rich pils/Munich malts, great noble hop presence and bitter balance. A very enjoyable offering, and pristine style example as expected of the brewery.
