Bottle from Honest Brew. Black body with a tan head that quickly fades. Patchy lacing. Aroma of treacle, cherry and sherry. Flavour of prunes and toasted coconut with a pleasant boozy warmth on the finish. Medium body with a slick texture. Soft fizz. A luscious, well judged beer.

Tap at Sori Helsinki. Pitch black with lace. Nose is dates, coconut, chocolate, and something weird and vomity. Dates, coconut, and ass flavor. Not sure what tonka beans are, but if this is how they taste, I don't ever want them again.

Aroma has cocoa and some hops. Flavour has hops, cocoa, molasses and licorice. Reminds me of Slottskällans IS.

A black beer, a head is small and light brown. Aroma has liquorice, chicolate, peanut, sweetness of dried fruits. Taste has coconut, sweet fruitness, liquorice, quite sweet. Medium+ bodeid, not stickyness. Quite strange IS, the sweet and fruit elements are more dominating. Quite nice.

15 December 2018. Black Beer Fest, Ieper. Cheers to Anke, Erwin & Ama Deke! Cloudy black with a lasting, thin, beige head; little lacing. Aroma of coconut flakes, milk chocolate, candi sugar, brown rum, kahlua, blackcurrant, date, mocha. Taste is medium, almost heavy, malty sweet, hints of coconut & milk chocolate, slightly sugary too, some 'dark fruity' notes; light to medium herbal bitterness brings nutmeg & faint cinnamon, spicy & toasty edge. Dryish, peppery hoppy finish, lingering vanilla but in a creamy kind of way, chocolate, warming kahlua alcohol. Medium to full body, oily texture, fizzy carbonation. Not the most roasted Imperial Stout, on the sweet side, but quite delicious.
