Slightly spicy with coriander, orange peel sweet and bitter makes this beer excellent as an aperitif cool and refreshing. The low alcohol content makes Silk a faithful companion for long days of celebration.

Glass on tap a week ago, short lived white head. Pale yellow color, hazed, quiet nose. Aroma is corn with cereals, grainy, with citrus and a hint of spice and yeast, can’t remember about hops. Taste is rather flat, acidic dry finish, carbonated, light bodied. A bit weeak but refreshing.

Bottle shared with Nellzer in Rome at the hotel - picked up at Domus Birrae. Pours lightly hazy yellow-gold with a frothy white head. Lots of sweet wheat on the nose, spices, lemon merengue. Medium sweet flavor, sugary white bread, wheat, some orange sponge cake and lemon merengue, a slight perfume note. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet finish, fairly sweet, further spices, simple wheat bread, white bread, orange, light straw and citrus rind bitterness. A nice witbier overall.

Tap at Ma Che, Trastevere, Roma - 02/10/12. Clouded light blonde with a mahoosive bubbly white head. Nose comprises citrus, hops, wheat, spice, light honey tones and vanilla. Tastes of orange, sweet pineapple, a little caramel, and a hint of grass. Medium bodied with light spritzy carbonation leading to a refreshing crisp finish. Great stuff on the hot Rome day on which I drank this beer!

Corpo leggero, "watery". Ok.

Cloudy blond color; medium sized creamy head. Aroma of yeast and bread dough. Weak mouthfeel; light lemony flavor, the spicy trace is almost impossible to detect; low bitterness.
