Bottle, 2011 - thanks _angst_! Pours clear orange, medium creamy off-white head, dissipates slowly , nice lacing. Aroma is dusty, funky horse blanket, lemon, oak. Flavor is lightly fruity initially, citrus, light plus tart, medium funky, oak, lemon, basement flavors. Surprisingly fruity throughout. Medium body, lingering fruity tartness. I quite liked this.

(Bottle, 0.75 l - 2011 Vintage, at Gastropub Tuulensuu, 20140808) The beer poured golden and clear. Its head was medium sized, white and it disappeared quickly. Aroma had wood, tartness, vomit and sweetness. Palate was medium bodied and dry with medium carbonation. Flavours were sourness, tartness, wood, fruitiness and low bitterness. Aftertaste was sour, tart, fruity and bitter. A very good gueuze.

750 ml bottle purchased at Toer de geuze 2011 and tasted in 2014. Almost clear, lively carbonated body with a dense, medium sized off-white head. Aroma is refreshing acidic fruit/berries with a pleasant barnyard/funk level. Flavor is balanced acidic for a Geuze, fresh lemon/grapefruit acidic, a hint of vinegars, relatively dry and pleasant funky. Not super complex but a very fine and tasty Geuze that might develop more during the years to come

750mL bottle at Kulminator, pours a cloudy golden orange with a very large off-white head and quite a bit of sediment. Nose is quite dusty and yeasty, with dusty soured light dried fruits and loads of sediment. Flavour is quite a bit more inviting -- very funky, full of dusty barnyard funk notes, a little sour apricot, cardboard and yeast. One of the dustier gueuzes I've had, though not in an "off-note" type of way. Quite complex with many layers, though I'm not sure this quite enters the league of the best gueuzes out there. Certainly excellent though.

Where the Wild Beers Are, 2011. Better than the average Boon geuze. Clear and yellow. Sour aroma with yeast, and sour flavor, but less so than most other lambics. They still pulled off the flavors and aroma well. Good.

Fra flaske i Hanssens Artisanaal under Tour de Geuze 2011. Ser ut som eplejuice. Uklar. Lavt skum. Syrlig fruktaroma. Samme med smaken. Sprudlende. Lett, litt syrlig ettersmak.
