Sample at Lizardville Westerville during the Bell's Brewing Night! event on 02/06/2019. Hazy golden color with a medium thin white head that burns away steadily to an outer ring. Stringy lace. Aroma of citrus, herbal hops and malt. Medium body with flavors of resiny hops, grapefruit and pale malt. The finish is mildly bitter with a citrusy hop aftertaste. Above average overall.

Pours hazy amber with a thick white head. Heavily carbonated, almost like a soda. Aroma of malty with notes of tropical fruit. Taste has guava and papaya. Palate has elements of the pilsen malt that was advertised as well as continued fruit notes. Refreshing and really well crafted.

Super hazy golden coloured body with a light yellow and pear coloured glow with a thinnish, single centimetre to perhaps two centimetre tall off-white head. Aroma of resin, cleanser, grass, hay and some lighter malts. Light to Medium-bodied; Slightly grassy and fruity flavour at first that shows some hops, just not bitter ones, with a dose of grain, a hint of hay and dry flavours that finish in a nice apple and fruit bite. Aftertaste definitely shows more of the malt, dry grain and the heavy astringent and funky flavours that start with the yeast and continue with lemons and some citrus fruits. Overall, a pretty substandard 'New England' IPA with a good look at least, but from the nose on dissapoints, especially with the complexity and depth - this is just way too simple and not exciting at all, which is very sad, especially for the brewery which usually produces consistently good beers. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Whole Foods in Pentagon City (Arlington), Virginia on 25-February-2019 for US$2,99 sampled at home in Washington on 09-April-2019 just over a month later (with the can spending it's entire life in the fridge).

Can from Jeff Bezos Whole Foods: pours hazy gold with a white head. Aroma is tropical fruitiness. Taste is sort of what an NEIPA should be, but it doesn't come close to the good examples of the style.

Sampled from the tap at Happy Gnome. Pours a slightly hazy yellow gold with a white head that dissipates slowly to the edges and laces slightly. Aroma has tropical fruits with a light dankness and a touch of sweet wheat underlying. Flavor has citrus rind and earthy citrus with a touch of tropical fruits and a bit of sweet wheat backing.

Bottle, from Trader Joe's. Pours hazy bright yellow with foamy off-white head, light citrus peel aroma, medium carbonation, bitter citrus peel taste with faint pineapple flavor, thin body, long bitter citrusy finish. A good IPA.

12 ounce can. Hazy pale gold color. Large frothy white head. Light peachy malt nose. Flavor is light bready wheat malt upfront. A bit thin if you ask me. Lacking in the traditional citrus character you expect from a New England IPA. Pedestrian at best.
