Pale yellow with thin lasting head. Evergreen and grapefruit peel aroma. Typical west coast ipa taste. Hoppy bitterness with a little malt sweetness underneath. Lasting hop bitter aftertaste. Good example of the style.

Draft at Brixx Wood Fire Pizza, 6/8/23. Clear dark gold-orange color, off white head. A bit fruity. Flavorful. Decently clean. Old school in a good way. Pretty good.

Draft. Golden beer with a cream head. Grapefruit and light pine aroma. Grapefruit and pine flavor with light tropical fruit. Medium bodied. Good bitterness. Grapefruit and pine linger with light tropical fruit.

12 oz. can from Kroger in Brentwood, TN. Pours a crystal clear gold color with a large white head and excellent retention. Good lacing. Lots of streaming bubbles. Juicy hops aroma. Juicy hops flavor too with a soft bitter finish. Tastes more like a pale ale. Both the 6.5% ABV and 65 IBU are pretty well hidden. Medium body and dry finish. A better than average IPA.

Bottle from Midtown Corkdorks. Pours a clear gold with a finger of foam that lingers, then dissipates. Strong grapefuit and citrus-forward aromas. Quite bitter (borderline astringent really) on the palate. More dried grapefruit peel and loads of citrus pith. Lingering dryness and pithy bitterness. Would be better with a little more malt.

Not much going on here; the only thing West Coast about this IPA is the moderate bitterness, lacking much of the hefty caramel-tinged malt base or strong citrus hop notes you want in the style. Resin on the back end doesn't come anywhere near the early-2010s heights of hop vitriol insanity, instead offering a manageable dose of pine before fading into a weak, mostly nondescript fade. Hints of grapefruit and earth pop up, but not enough to add much depth. Very skippable.

From a 12 oz bottle. Pours a hazy god with a thick off white head. Aroma of tropical fruit and melon. Flavors are bitter citrus and pine. Bitter finish.
