Nice crisp straightforward coffee bomb, cold brew refreshing coffee notes, dark and slightly thick. Easy drinking.

On tap at HopCat, pours black with a small tan had. Aroma is fairly laid back, barely bringing anything out. Flavour is similar, with toasted malt and light earth. Not particularly well-structured - boozy and lacking any real depth. Meh.

Bottle. Inky black with creamy beige head, faint coffee aroma, low carbonation, sweetish roasted malt/coffee taste, smooth body, long medium mocha finish. Very smooth and tasty.

Tap at Mellow. Pours a pitch black with 2 fingers of beige foam. Big mocha chocolate coffee nose with hazelnut aromas as it warms. Smooth and rich with lots of coffee and chocolate notes. Creamy texture. Really like a mocha milkshake with a hit of coffee. Definitely improves on the base beer.

This beer pours a brownish-black color with a medium foamy khaki head that diminishes steadily. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted coffee, malt and dark chocolate. Medium to full body with a roasty coffee and malt character, with some earthy hops and chocolate in the background. The finish is dark chocolate mocha and mild hops. Above average overall.

Bottle. A- Milk chocolate, mocha, subtle coffee, slightly sweet, cream. A- Black color, black liquid, brown head. T- Milk chocolate, slight bitterness, cocoa, coffee. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, smooth chocolatey finish. O- I’m shocked this is an imperial stout because it drinks and feels more like a sweet stout with a bit of bitterness. Regardless, it’s a very well done beer full of chocolate. Seemed to start out as milk chocolate and fade to a darker and more bitter chocolate by the end. Coffee was fairly subtle and so was the roastiness.
