To really up the ante on the hop aroma we dry-hopped this ale with large quantities of Amarillo,Cascade, Chinook, and Citra to infuse a deep resinous citrus blast that is reminiscent of cutting into a fresh bag of hop pellets! This beer is a true hop experience but has enough of a malt backbone to hold up to the hop barrage.

22 oz. bottle, thanks to Chalumeaux! No bottle date. The hop character is hear in the aroma but it also has a lot of caramel. Way too much caramel. The flavor is orange marmalade, melon pulp and again a lot of sweet caramel or crystal malts.
Body is fuller but the sweetness just takes over. The hops are just over run by a sweetness over load.

Bomber 2016, drunk 7/24/16.
Big, off-white head recedes quickly to a ring. Clear, deep amber.
Smells like C-hop and lots of specialty malt.....Uh oh. Yep, floral, bitter, grapefruit, orange rind, grain, iced tea. Pretty much all of the things that made me hate IPAs back in the day. Thank god brewers arent making this crap any more.
Intensely caramel-heavy and full of grain, toffee and thick honey. C hops galore, with astringent bitterness, stewed hops, vegetal notes and lingering light sourness. Clean, at least and not punishingly sweet or anything, but what would ever possess someone to want to brew this stuff any more. Let’s all just move on from 2006.

On tap at Revolution. Clear amber with a small head. Aroma and taste of hops, mandarin, caramel and warming alcohol. Also notes of medicine. Not that impressed by this beer.

Pours clear mahogany into a snifter. Off-white head with little retention recedes to hug rim. Tropical fruit and pine aromas. Thick with pine and caramel front to back. Medium length tropical fruit finish.

5oz pour at the Revolution brew pub pours a clear, dark orange with some lacing, white head. Nose has gobs of pine sap, pithy citrus, some candy, a little honey comb. Flavor follows, sticky orange juice, some honey comb, loads of pine, soapy. Big, sticky, bitter finish.

Location: Draft at the Milwaukee Ave Brewpub, 7/16/14
Aroma: The aroma is pine/resin, citrus hops, orange, grapefruit, and a little of bready malt
Appearance: It pours a clear amber-orange color with a small head and light lace
Flavor: The taste is fairly bitter, citrusy, with a light malty sweetness, and a bitter close
Palate: The body is medium-plus, mildly sticky on the mouth, and it finishes pretty dry
Overall Impression: This is a good citrus flavored DIPA, with a nice bitterness to it. Another one from my trip to Revolution that I thuroughly enjoyed.
