Draught @ Avenue Ale House, Oak Park (Nov 2023). Clear lemon yellow with a large foamy white head, bread aroma, high carbonation, medium tart citrusy taste with basement flavors, thin smooth body, long tart finish. Very smooth saison.

Can - pours a deep golden yellow color with a big white head that fades into nothingness. Rich aroma is more of a barrel aged hoppy sour with minimal farmhouse funk. Tastes sour with good flavors from the barrel treatment and earthy/floral bits. I was itching for a saison and this doesn't quite scratch that itch, but it's a good beer overall.

Can pour from Total Wine & More, Brentwood. Appearance is hazy yellow with light sparkle, ring of off white head and no lacing. Aroma is mix of tart fruit and dust. Taste is strong tart and lightly sweet fruit/citrus, dust/cardboard/linens. Mouthfeel is medium side of light-to-medium bodied with smooth texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, well crafted and nice balance to the flavor, which is pleasantly tart and an other flavor, which isn't funky but is hard to place.

12 oz. Can. Thanks Tom for the share. Aroma has lemon juice, funky yeast, must hints. The flavor follows through in a easy nuanced way. Not sour, just funky.

No dating on the 12 ounce can.
It pours a hazy orange yellow with a finger of foam, and some nice lacing.
First thing I pick up in the smell is cloves, followed by coriander, a very earthy musty aroma, and some Brett.
The taste varies from the smell quite a bit. I get the cloves, I get some salt, definitely earthy musty, light Brett and light tartness. It IS wild after all. I reckon that the flavours meld pretty well.
Low end of medium bodied, pretty lively carbonation.
Bought in a mixed 6pack. I believe that would be my preference.

12 ounce can into tulip glass, no can dating. Pours slightly hazy/cloudy medium golden yellow color with a 2 finger fairly dense and fluffy white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big lightly tart lemon, lime, orange, red grapefruit, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, mango, melon, red/green apple, white grape/wine, citrus peel/zest, peppercorn, hay, straw, herbal, floral, grass, wheat, cracker, and white bread; with lighter notes of toasted oak, pine, musty/lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity hops, fruity/funky/acidic/spicy yeast, pale/wheat malts, and light Cabernet barrel notes; with big strength. Taste of big lightly tart lemon, lime, orange, red grapefruit, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, mango, melon, red/green apple, white grape/wine, citrus peel/zest, peppercorn, hay, straw, herbal, floral, grass, wheat, cracker, and white bread; with lighter notes of toasted oak, pine, musty/lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate peppery yeast spiciness; light pine, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, bitterness; and Brett/Lactic tang/tartness on the finish. Lingering notes of tart/tangy lemon, lime, orange, red grapefruit, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, mango, melon, red/green apple, white grape/wine, citrus peel/zest, peppercorn, hay, straw, herbal, floral, grass, wheat, cracker, white bread, toasted oak, pine, musty/lacto funk, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity hops, fruity/funky/acidic/spicy yeast, pale/wheat malts, and light Cabernet barrel flavors; with a fantastic malt/bitter/spicy/tart/tangy balance, with no puckering/astringent flavors after the finish. Moderately crisp/clean finishing. Moderate increasing dryness from lingering bitter/spicy/tart/tangy and carbonation. Medium-high carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, moderately bready/grainy, and fairly acidic/tangy/sticky mouthfeel that is fantastic. Minimal warming alcohol for 6.4%. Overall this is an outstanding wild saison. All around awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity hops, fruity/funky/acidic/spicy yeast, pale/wheat malts, and light Cabernet barrel flavors; very smooth, crisp, clean, and refreshing to drink with the mellowly bitter/spicy/tart/tangy/drying finish. Awesome balance of juicy/vibrant Centennial/Amarillo hops, and Brett/Lacto/Saison yeast complexity; with a great pale/wheat malt backbone. Solid Cabernet barrel presence for only 10% of the blend. Minimal residual sweetness with crisp dryness. A highly enjoyable offering, and outstadning spot on style example.

The Aromas are mild funk, straw and pale malt. Flavors are like nose, lightly tart enhanced by carbonation, touch sweet, and a bit of either apple or pear. Okay body and finish. Nothing special.

Can from vintage. Somewhat mild lemony nose. Pour is clear pale. First impression is that its a little tasty, perhaps more than your typical saizzie. Interesting fun & smooth. Good co2 as well. Stands up well. Not bad, pretty impressed, thank you. Doesn't seem to have any of the ill effects of the typical domestic saison. It really grows on you thru the session. I wish I had another cannah this stuff, it was only $2!

12 ounce can from Woodman's Menomonee Falls. Slightly hazy amber, large foamy off-white head, good retention. Aroma of strong funk, bready malt, spice, cider apples, stone fruit. Taste is lemon, citrus, pale bready malt, mild funkiness. Thin. Decent.

From my wife: pours mostly clear gold with white head with no lacing. Aroma is funky, slightly herbal. Taste is slightly tart. Hard to explain. Tastes like a mellowed out version of a wood aged saison. Not super impressed.
