Edit - we've since re-brewed this for Jan 2020. We've reduced the dryhopping for Batch #2 to allow the malt base to take the spotlight. A more rounded experience.
We hit a bit of a milestone a couple weeks back when we brewed our 500th Gyle! Obviously being quite the achievement, we wanted to mark the occasion with a special brew, in a style we've not brewed up before. Introducing then, Hearth, our 5.2% Extra Special Bitter. As is true to Vibrant form, we've jazzed it up a bit with a fair chunk Cascade and Centennial. This has boosted the underlying chewy, malty goodness with a good hit of sweetening, warming citrus.

(Draught at In De Wildeman, Amsterdam, 16 Feb 2019) Dark reddish brown colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, slightly roasted nose with dark fruit, toast, caramel and chocolate. Malty, roasted taste with notes of dark bread, coffee, toast and a balanced earthy bitterness in a dryish finish. Medium body, quite dry. Tasty and well balanced. Quite nice.
