Neun Sude und über ein Jahr Entwicklung haben wir uns Zeit genommen, bis unsere Braumeister mit dem Ergebnis zufrieden waren: ein goldgelbes Kellerbier, gebraut im historischen Dreimaischverfahren und mit fruchtigem Hopfenaroma und einer feinen Malznote. Das ursprüngliche Brauverfahren und der bewusste Verzicht auf moderne Filtration sind es, die unser Zwickl so vollmundig und dabei herrlich süffig machen. Das angenehm fruchtige, wenig herbe Hopfenaroma verdankt unser Zwickl dem Einsatz von feinstem Hersbrucker Hopfen.

Bottle. Color: Slightly hazy golden, white head. Aroma: Malt, bread. Taste: Sweetish malty, hopbitter hints, bread, very light hints of toast and caramel. Lightly fruity. Medium to under medium body. Just below average carbonation. Ok.

On tap at zwickl viktualienmarkt. Golden color, light haze but almost clear, creamy white head, persistent. Malty and bready with doughy yeast aftertaste and a note of citrus. Light aroma hops, taste sweetish balanced by a mild sourness, a bit salty, some grass but not much bitterness. Medium bodied, fluffy creamy texture, average carbonation. Smooth finish, very decent.

Bottle at Bayerischer Donisl, Munchen, 07/06/18. Golden blonde with a decent off white head. Nose is lemon rind, straw, grains, grassy. Taste comprises light breads, earthy fruit peel, dusty, sweet malts, straw. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent lager.

400ml bottle. Minimally milky, orangey golden colour with average, thick, creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Sweet-ish, minimally bready, malty, doughy yeasty, minimally fruity aroma, hints of apricot and mirabelle, a protein touch. Taste is minimally sweet, malty, fruity and doughy yeasty, hints of apricot and mirabelle, minimally grassy, strawy overtones; minimally oily texture, smooth and soft palate. Not spectacular concerning taste and aroma, but overall well "crafted".
