Rich, round and roasted, our Oatmeal Stout is satisfaction in a glass. It's a bold, smooth-bodied concoction that oozes dark-roasted coffee aromas and flavors of espresso and semi-sweet chocolate. We round out these heady pleasures with a dose of flaked oatmeal for a creamy body and a semi-dry finish. Unforgettable.

12 oz bottle, Smiley’s Beverage, Dover, NH. Aroma of very faint semi-sweet chocolate and cream. Taste is chocolate, oats and coffee. Sweet and roasty. Finishes creamy, then transitions dry. Maybe it wasn’t fair to rate this after the imperial stout I had a few hours before this one. Flavors seem muddled. Just ok.

Bottle: Dark brown pour with a thin ring of tan head. Aroma is roasty and malty with light chocolate tones. Tastes mild at first, but the roastiness and bittersweet cocoa notes come through as it warms. Dry finish, mild... eh. Could have been better.

Pours black into a Sam glass. Mocha head with excellent retention leaves spider lacing and it recedes. Dusty cocoa with sharp, dark caramel. Lasting chocolate finish.

Another new addition to the beer available in NH. Pours a pretty solid black color with a tan head that dissipate almost immediately. Smells of caramel, chocolate and roast with hints of vanilla. Taste is slightly acridic coffee mixed with caramel and chocolate. Slightly mineraly in taste. Medium body with a semi dry finish. Creamy acridic mouthfeel, medium level of carbonation. MEH. Nothing really objectionable here, but nothing really spectacular either. I would drink one if offered to me, but I wouldn’t seek another one out.

Some case store in Philly: Pours a really dark brown body with a light brown head. Aroma is powerful and gets good range. Has the chocolate and coffee notes in there. Body is rather creamy, but not thick. Leaves some aftertaste, but not that much. Some bitterness at the finish. Chocolate notes and all present throughout the tasting.
