Light and smooth vanilla bean nose and mouth feel. Coffee is present also in both nose and taste. It’s light, but I like it lots. Rated 10/15/09 Bottle. Pours black with thin bone white head. Nose/taste of coffee bean, vanilla bean and light chocolate roast. Medium body. Rerated 7/27/12

11th October 2008. GABF. Soft palate. Quite a sweet porter. Nicely balanced. The vanilla is araomatic.

Bottle from Archer Liquors. Pours dark brown with a decent light tan head. Aroma of dark toast, but not sure about vanilla. Medium body with sharp, creamy carbonation. Now I’m sure about the vanilla. Pretty present. An interesting variant. Not a style of porter I would chase after.

I thought I was a vanilla fan so I decided to try this brew. It turns out that I’m not THAT much of a vanilla fan. Aroma and taste are overpowered by the vanilla, it’s rather creamy with a roasty malt aftertaste, but the vanilla is a hint too much. It’s not necessarily bad, but I wouldn’t drink more than one or two.

Tap at a local restaurant - you pretty much need to love vanilla to like this beer, as it is almost all that I really taste - don’t get me wrong, it compliments the beer’s creamy body, and light hints of roasted malt, but that vanilla is sure potent - some notes of black malt and a hint of maple way in the back - rather full-flavored for a low ABV brew - just soooo much vanilla.

Bottle from Food Market. Dark brown colour, beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate and vanilla. Flavour of roasted malts, coffee and vanilla. Sweet and watery.

On tap at flying saucer. Pours a very dark brown with a snall frothy light tan head that diminishes quickly leaving sticky lacing. The aroma is a faint roast and caramel. Medium mouthfeel with a sweet roast and vanilla. Easy to drink a good porter from Breckenridge.

Bottle: Poured a light black color porter with a medium bubbly head with average retention and no lacing. Aroma of light vanilla with some distinctive sour notes. Taste was also dominated by sour notes and light vanilla. Body is really thin with some average carbonation. I don’t know if this was infected but it really wasn’t appealing to me.

Courtesy of markwise. Pours up brown with copper hues and tan head. The aroma is sweet with molasses and prunes. Nice mixture here to create a pleasing aromatic. The taste is chocolate and vanilla revealing a deasert type experience with some roast and mild prune fruity goodness in the background. Very nice tasting brew.

Bottle. Poured dark brown with an off-white head. Aroma was filled with notes of dark chocolate and coffee notes. Maybe some vanilla but didn’t pick up too much. The vanilla however is definitely present in the flavor and while a bit overpower compliments the dark flavors well.
