Deep dark brown coloured body with a very thin, and ultra-fast-dying tan head. Aroma of maple syrup, molasses, grain, alcohol, bourbon, oak, vanilla and a big dose of pure caramel and toffee - nice and incredibly sweet. Medium to Full-bodied; Strong rich grainy and bitter flavour of tobacco, vanilla, bourbon, grain, alcohol and super pungent bitterness with a lot of grain and fuller-flavoured notes showing a lot of bitterness and grain throughout. Aftertaste shows some more assertive vanilla, oak, bourbon, caramel and toffee notes with an extra bit near the end with the alcohol and malts showing through. Overall, a nice and robust beer that shows more of an old ale and a light belgian style (dubble, perhaps) with a big dose of alcohol, pungent grain, oak, bourbon and overall assertiveness with a good kick and moderate complexity throughout and easy-to-drink finish, make this beer worth finding, especially if you are in the South at all and can regularly find this! I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Knightly Spirits in Orlando (Orange Blossom Trail), Florida on 28-December-2017 for US$3,99 sampled in my hotel room here in Disney World [Dolphin] on 31-December-2017 to celebrate the New Year with my wife and three kids.

12 oz. bottle. Deep mahogany color with thin off white head. Nose is mostly oak with traces of molasses. Flavor is oak, brown sugar and light anise. The oak is really nice in this brew. Light Christmas spice in the finish. Medium body with the right level of carbonation. Nicely made.

12 oz. bottle. Dark, muddy brown with a medium, creamy, off-white head. Aroma of chocolate pudding, cinnamon, lactose, and toffee. Very sweet flavor, with no discernible hop profile. Medium body, chalky, and clean. Overall, this is a very dry and spicy ale. Not bad!

Tap. Pours hazy deep brown creamy large beige head that dissipates with good lacing. Aroma is a wonderful blend of bourbon, molasses and caramel. Flavor is the same, not quite as amazing, lightly sweet with light zesty/spicy bitterness and a bit of woody astringency. Light to medium body.
