Keg at Casc, Aberdeen. It pours jet black with a small dark tan head. The aroma is deep roast, espresso coffee, dull smoke, tobacco, ripe cherry, black forest gateaux and fruit pie. The taste is rich roasted malt, deep coffee character, dark roast, bright fresh cherry action, tart berry skin, fruit pie, charred wood, pepper and cacao nibs with a dry, fruity finish. Medium+ body and fine carbonation. Works very well. Good stout base with real time cherry vibes. Tasty.

On keg at the Hanging Bat. Appearance - opaque black with a creamy brown head. Nose - some cherry though mostly on the chocolate side. Taste - more of the same. Bitter chocolate and cherry finish. Palate - creamy and medium bodied. Dry middle and finish. Overall - probably best beer I've had from this brewery but must check other scores.
