Keg at the Hanging Bat. 26/09/17. Pours darkest brown with a thin beige head. Aromas of chocolate, cherry and liquorice. Taste is roasty, more chocolate and cherry. Rich texture, good body for the strength.

Keg at Casc, Aberdeen. It pours jet black with a small dark tan head. The aroma is deep roast, espresso coffee, dull smoke, tobacco, ripe cherry, black forest gateaux and fruit pie. The taste is rich roasted malt, deep coffee character, dark roast, bright fresh cherry action, tart berry skin, fruit pie, charred wood, pepper and cacao nibs with a dry, fruity finish. Medium+ body and fine carbonation. Works very well. Good stout base with real time cherry vibes. Tasty.

On keg at the Hanging Bat. Appearance - opaque black with a creamy brown head. Nose - some cherry though mostly on the chocolate side. Taste - more of the same. Bitter chocolate and cherry finish. Palate - creamy and medium bodied. Dry middle and finish. Overall - probably best beer I've had from this brewery but must check other scores.

Keg @ Nightjar, Hebden Bridge. Black with an off-white creamy head. Has a very stated stout character until its aftertaste, when the cherry comes to the fore.

Keg at the Partee Arch, pre BE scopin, 09/09/17. Black with a well appointed tan cap that retains well. Nose is mellow roast, burnt toffee, charr, red berry tunes, dark chocoalte. Taste comprises rich roast, dark chocoalte, cherry skins, trace of lactic action, tofeee, black peppery spice. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent stout ... not much sweetness ... good cherry tang ... well balanced.
