A refreshingly hoppy American pale ale, Little Rooster is another edition in our "Small Bird Series" of lower ABV offerings brewed for the summer. The nose is both citrusy and tropical, with orange and cantaloupe standing out. Taste follows with pineapple, grapefruit pith and lemon zest, along with a touch of bitterness. Light to medium-bodied and extremely approachable.

Very starchy yellow with some white head. Wheat and grass and citrus rind on the nose. Very starchy and grassy in the mouth. Citrus. Herbs. Dry and bitter finish. Drinks big.

Can at home from Kihoskh 21/07/2023 Intense juicy fruity aroma and taste with layers of juicy mandarin segments, succulent peach flesh, grapefruit and melon, substantial mouthfeel and pale malty body, citrus peel and hop spice bite, solid hoppy finish. Lovely, packs in loads for the abv.

On tap at Trillium on the Common. Hazy yellow gold color. Brief head. Citrus fruit nose hints at grapefruit and pineapple. Flavor follows nose. A bit of lemon as well. Soft and smooth. Nice and sipable.

473ml can. Hazy, yellow-ish, bright golden colour with small to average, frothy, osteoporosing, minimally lacing, white head. Tropical fruity, citrusy and slightly grassy, hoppy aroma, oaty and slightly wheaty malty background, hints of gooseberry, kiwi fruit, white grapes, some orange. Taste is dry, citrusy, grassy and fruity hoppy, oaty malty basis, minimally diluted hints of unripe kiwi fruit, gooseberry, white grapes, some orange, orange peel, moderate hop bitterness; a touch of weed in the finish. Creamy-oily texture, smooth and soft, simultaneously dry palate, very fine, dense, creamy, mildly prickly carbonation. Quite refreshing, but neither overly intense nor particularly pronounced hop flavours - good but not outstanding.
