U.S. hopped pale ale using one of the first American hops to grace our shores, often neglected now due to newer varieties, we love this hop and the unique citrus qualities it puts into beer.

Chelmsford Winter Beer Fest (with Rune, Rasmus, Saxo and Camons) @ KEGS. Cask. Clear gold beer, small bubbly white head. Palate is light and dry with decent fine carbonation. Sweetish malts. Candy fruits. Good citric bitterness in a floral sweet backdrop. Mild marmalade. Light floral finish. Not bad.

By gravicask, 4 % abv, at Chelmsford & Mid Essex Winter Beer Festival. Shared with Cunningham. Bright warm golden body, patches at the surface. Ripe lemon nose. Taste of lemony hops and grainy malts. Mid-dry ending. Easy to drink. Satisfying (17.02.2017).

Cask gravity at The Barrel Drop Nottingham, Saturday 9th April 2016 with dad. Gold in colour with a good clarity, a few bubbles dance across the top of this gravity poured beer. The Cascade hops are there but rather shy, you get the sense that they have been used sparingly. Middling fruity golden, not an awful lot to shout about but it’s fine. A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov12 3.1

Cask. Kelham Island Tavern, Sheffield. Clear gold. Sudsy, lasting, white head. Sweet, chewy malt. Dull, citrus hop. Some grassiness. Taste is pithy bitter. Some sweetness on the lips. Crisp palate. Finishes long, pithy bitter. Decent enough, although the aroma isn’t as punchy as you might expect.
