Bottle from Sainsbury’s. Amber with a full head. Aroma of caramel malt. Flavour is nutty caramel, dry malt, sweet fruit base.

19/3/2024. Bottle shared by the Shropshire boys, cheers. Pours dark reddish brown with a small creamy off-white head. Aroma is malty, caramel, nutty, fruity, a little cakey and bready. Moderate sweetness, bitterness and body. Average carbonation. Quite decent.

500ml bottle shared with blackhaddock. Pours a deep chestnut brown, off-white head. Malty fruitcake nose. Taste presents a decent amber malt character with nutty moments, some fruitcake hints. Decent red ale.

500ml bottle (BB 30th June 2024), shared with minutemat at my house on 6th November 2023 during a mega tasting, Panda for Grumbo too. Irish Red Ale, looks fine and tasty, clear mahogany red with a cream coloured head. Malty with an earthy/nutty undertone, it's a very pleasant beer and not too sweet for a Red Ale.

500 ml bottle, from KWM Wines & Spirits. ABV is 4.8%. Clear and beautiful deep reddish brown colour, moderate off-white head. Moderate malty aroma, hints of red berries. Malty flavour too, hints of caramel, brittle, nuts and red berries, moderate earthy hops.

Creamy light brown head left a good collar, spotty cover & plenty of lacing. Sweet caramel, sugar, malt & fruity berry aroma. Medium bodied, creamy over the tongue with a sharp clean back. Bitter/Sweet berries, malt, demerara, spices, caramel, toffee & zesty citrus finish.

500ml bottle from Otdokhni in Moscow. Pours clear dark brown/amber with a tall beige head. Aroma is caramel, fruit, biscuity malt. Taste is light sweet, malt, caramel, nuts. Mild bitter finish.

Bottle. Cloudy deep amber pour. Moderate off-white head. Low retentiion. Nose: caramel and toast, citrusy hops. Light to medium body. Taste: rather malty, following the nose. Citrusy hop is also present. Light bitterness. OK.

Aroma: Malty sweet with brown sugar and toffee. Flavour: Malty sweet with fruity notes and slight bitterness. Aftertaste is malty and slightly bitter. Colour: Amber with an offwhite head. From: Bottle @ Torben Matthews tasting Nov. 2017.
