22 oz bottle from Sparrow-Downtown, 7/2/15. Release #29. 9.1% ABV.
The aroma is actually more yeast/spice then fruit. A little bit of oak. Some funky notes as well.
It pours a murky orange-reddish color with a beige head and drippy lace.
The raspberry comes through more in the taste, but it is still more of a spice, funk, yeast flavor.
The feel is decent. Soft carbonation. Tart, funky, and slightly dry on the finish.
I actually think this works pretty well. The fruit flavors after more subtle than I would have expected, but it still does the trick. Solid.

On tap at Brewers Haven. Raspberries up front, and throughout. At 9.8%, defeats the purpose of a radler. But delicious and refreshing , in spades.

Bottle courtesy of Theydon Bois (cheers Colin) Oxon, Tuesday 28th April 2015 This pours a cloudy reddy colour. This reminds me of drinking some of the New Glarus beers with Casey, maybe not quite in that league but still it’s similar in style. It’s very raspberry but it’s also not in the least bit sour either, tangy yes, a little tart yes but not sour, in fact it’s a bit like a trifle made with lots of berries (but mostly of the raspberry variety) I quite like this for a fruit beer it’s pretty good. Bottle thanks to Craig. Pours a clear ruby with small off white head. Aroma is strong raspberry and medicine. Thin mouthfeel with tart raspberry and hibiscus, very nice.

Papaya and rosehip nose. Cloudy copper, medium head, good lace. Papaya and hibiscus, with a raspberry finish. Thin and watery. Raspberry flavor is very delicate, surprising tropical notes. Better than others in the brainless series.

Tap at Jacs. Unfiltered red body. Big white head. Really pleasant natural raspberry aroma. Big raspberry flavors, dominant aspect of the beer. Fruit beer all the way, but has that Tripel Golden ale feel underneath. A monster of a raspberry beer. Not enough malt depth or subtlety to really be ranked in the top tier. Solid beverage.

Rich deep ruby and brown coloured body with a thinnish, single centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of pure raspberries, icing sugar, alcohol, figs, raisins and a lot of roasted malt - nice and very strong fruit smelling throughout. Medium to Full-bodied; Rich deep raspberry flavour at first with a deep flavour of figs, earth, chocolate and even a good earthy malt quality as well. Aftertaste shows all the sour raspberry flavour you may expect and a very rich sweetness, malty character and even some subdued roasty and earthy characteristics that you may not expect to find. Overall, the complexity is there, the sourness is there and the very rich fruit flavour coupled with alcohol is definitely there - a great beer and I’m happy to have sampled this! I sampled this snifter on draught at Mellow Mushroom in Denver, Colorado on 08-June-2014 for US$6.00.

Sample at the tap room in Denver. Clear reddish-orange color with a medium white head that burns away steadily to an outer ring. Small patches of lacing on the glass. Aroma of raspberries, spice and wheat. Medium to full body with a slightly funky raspberry character and flavors of spiced wheat and malt. The finish is moderately tart with a raspberry aftertaste. Above average overall.

Good integration of raspberries with what tastes like a hefeweizen underneath the fruit. Pours copper without much head or lacing. Finishes with light sweet and sourness like the berries. Overall good. On tap at DC Summerfest.
