Bottle from Oddbins, West Hampstead. Very active out of the bottle, took a lot of time to settle, and always with a thick frothy-bubbly head. It's smoking is light but pleasantly so, evident in both aroma and taste, but certainly more stated in the former. Hazy blonde with a heavy carbonation, too much so in my opinion. The wheat beer styling is decent enough.

Bottle from Oddbins Aberdeen centre. It pours hazy blonde with a thick foamy white head. The aroma is bread, wood, rich meaty smoke, oak, apple, pear and melon. The taste is crisp, dry, apple, pear, melon, lemonade, green banana, bread, wood and light smoke with a drying finish. Medium body and high, foamy carbonation. Interesting stuff.

Bottle at home in London - picked up at A&H. Rises from the bottle, slowly. Pours clear yellow, effervescent, with a billowing, frothy white head. Pleasant dry smoky notes in the nose, some biscuits, crisp wheat, lemon peel, dried ham. Light sweet flavour with some sugary pale bread, a little straw, smoked wood, some melon, meringue, dough. Light bodied with lively, massaging carbonation. Nicely balanced finish, with relaxed smoke, faint ash, more doughy wheat bread, some white sugar, ripening citrus, hints of banana, low bitterness. Nice one overall.

Keg at the brewery. A translucent golden yellow straw coloured pour with a lasting fine white head. Aroma is earthy oak, sweaty socks, birch. Apple. Flavour is composed of light cereal grains, tangy apple, mellow oak smoke, rauch malts. Straw. Palate. Is semi crisp, highish carbonation, drying finish. Nice. Mellow.

Murky orange amber with a decent off white cap. Nose is beechwood, smoked malts, frazzles, light spice, lapsang Souchong, straw. Taste comprises smoked malts, fruit esters, biscuit malt, spice, lapsang souchong, oak. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a smoky linger. Decent smoked affair, fairly full on but drinkable.
