Keg at BD Brighton, 18/08/17. Amber to copper with a big old off white head. Nose is earthy, spice, fruit esters, biscuit, brown bread. Taste comprises toffee, orchard fruit, spice, biscuit crumble, farmyard, fruit esters. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok for style but not sure I’d have had this down as a BDG!

Keg at the Cock - Hackney. Pours clear orange with a foamy, white head. The aroma holds ripening berries, Belgian yeast, plums, bread. Medium sweet flavour with more jammy berries, light tartness, lightly toasted wholegrain bread, low bitterness. Medium to full bodied, lightly oily, with fine to average carbonation. Lightly warming in finish, with more bready malts, jammy fruits. Enjoyable in moderate doses.

Tank at HH. It pours hazy brown bread with a medium beige head. The aroma is bitter - sweet, spicy, Dandelion & Burdock, toasty, light smoke and plum. The taste is dry, bitter - sweet, cherry cola, toasty, dried berry, raisin, cherry and toasty brown sugar with a smooth sweetish finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Not what I would call a classic bdg. Not bad though.
