Bottle from Eltham Wines, Eltham. Dark brown pour with a quickly dissipating white head. Aromas of treacle toffee, plum pudding, blackcurrant, figs. Flavours of prunes, blackcurrant, light fig undertones, plenty of dark fruits. Smooth, sweet finish. Pleasant brew.

Clear deep amber beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light, fairly dry and has reasonable minerally carbonation. Light malts. Pretty tangy fruits, getting quite tart. Fig I guess but as much prune. Trace of bubblegum esters. Tangy finish. Amusing but one of those beers that is edging on sour without quite getting there and I find that irritating after awhile.

Bottle. Can’t recall where from. Clear, merlot red. Slim ring of head. Nose has dark fruit. I get the fig. Ripe plum. Wet brown sugar. Taste is dry and tangy, to the point of light sourness. Mouthfeel is flimsy and thin. Way too fizzy. Tangy and dry finish. Smells ok, and trails off significantly thereafter.
