Like IPAs and their American counterparts, our GPA (German Pale Ale) is light with a hoppy finish. It is made with both malted barley and wheat and is strongly hopped with American Chinook and Hallertau Muttelfrh hops, which perfectly complement its dry, biscuit-y finish.

Can from Beer52 entitled 'gpa'. New brewery for me. Pours a clear gold with moderate sized white head, decent retention. Aroma is grassy, some floral notes, cracker like malts. Taste starts fairly sweet with malts at the forefront, cracker, bread, squeeze of lemon, grassy and floral hops, moderately bitter with toasted notes coming through. Good lager to be fair, its got a bit of flavour to it, no off notes.

Can from Low Cost Beer. Appearance - golden yellow with a very slight haze. Foamy white head. Nose - dank, floral, lemon curd and bread. Taste - lemon curd and honey. Brown bread backdrop. Palate - medium bodied, lightly roasty finish. Overall - decent.

[33cl can from Beer52.] A pale amber pour with a loose white head; grassy aroma; biscuity grain taste; then a sustained bitterness with apricot kernels and grass. A pleasant pale ale, definitely not a Kolsch!

Tight foamy white head left a creamy cover on a slowly carbonating clear golden coloured body. Sweet malt & ashtray aroma. Medium bodied, soft over the tongue with a cloying back. Sweet malt, cereal, bread, biscuit & tangy hoppy tastes. Solid - I like it.

On tap at West Brewery Tap, Sunday 11th February 2018 in the company of Nick and Anna. Pours clear gold with a white head, good clarity. Soft in the mouth but really good hoppiness, good bitterness, this is a very good beer. A6 A4 T8 P4 Ov14 3.6
