Can picked up at Mother Kelly’s. It pours murky burnt orange with a small white head. The aroma is fresh, loads of bready malts, cereal, bit of farmyard, soft pineapple vibe, marmalade and a touch of mint. The bitter, malt - driven, bread, cereal, pine, spicy, sort of herbal / menthol and some marmalade with a lingering dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. A rather interesting and quaffable lagerbier.

Can from The Bottle Shop London and drunk at home. Hazy pale brown colour, poured carefully to leave most of the sediment in the can . Like the other single hop lagers from Chorlton, it really doesn’t taste like a traditional lager at all. The hop is sherberty. Aroma of hop flowers. Yes very hoppy very drinkable. Some caramel. Lovely though.

Can. Beer Central, Sheffield. Bold orange. Soft haze. Thick, bubbly, lasting, white head. Nose has lots of ripe mango. Some pine resin. Some chocolate orange, weirdly. Taste is sweet and resinous and chewy. Plenty of body. Soft fizz. Pretty oily and sappy. Ripe tropical fruit and sappy pine on the finish. These Chorlton lagers are great, although they never come across as lagers for me. Which isn’t a complaint, just an observation.

Can. Hazy gold beer, good pale cream colour head. Palate is light and smooth. Reasonable fine carbonation. Smooth malts, mildly sweet. Skunky hop, tangy. Pine. Good mix of orange peel and tropical fruits. Floral fruits before a light finish. Another winning single hop lager from Chorlton.

Can. Appearance - hazy amber with a decent head. Nose - oranges, maybe apricots. Taste - more orange and orange pith. Orange barley sweet note continues on and on. Palate - close to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - loads of flavour for a lager.
