Bottle in ABZ. It pours clear deep brown with a medium beige head. The aroma is bitter - sweet, sticky, candied orange peel, peachy, marmalade, danky, grassy, weed and toffee. The taste is bitter, dry, woody, resinous, dank, weed, damp grass, spicy, touch of toffee, dried fruits, pepper, orange peel and some alcohol with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Decent gear.

Keg at Clink, Custard Factory of Bingohame, 26/11/16. Vibrant reddish amber with a decent light beige head. Nose is caramel malt, spice, blood orange, grains, hop strokes. Taste comprises light dank hops, citric tinged straw, orange pith, light pine whistle, toasted brioche, faint smoke. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close peppered with semi dank hop bitterness. Adequate IPA but I’ve seen ’dank’ pulled off way better elsewhere.

Hazy deep amber beer, good cream colour head. Palate is smooth and airy but still has decent fine minerally carbonation. Soft malts, mild cream and a touch of bitter toffee. Good bitter orange and orange peel alongside dark marmalade. Juicy! Touch of red berries. Finishes smoothe with some riper orange, pith and hop spice. Tasty!

Bottle from The Beerhive. Hazy ruby/brown body with a thick off-white head. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of grated carrot, caramel and blood orange. Flavour of honey, marmalade and burnt caramel with a peppery finish. Thin to medium body with a smooth texture. Very soft fizz. When it comes to hoppy beers, this brewery is on a par with the likes of The Kernel, Arbor and Cloudwater. I also like that they bottle in 500ml only, regardless of the ABV.

Bottle. Beer Stop, Dronfield. Deep, ruby red. Soft haze. Thin, dense, lasting, lacing, beige head. Handsome. Nose has fruity, spicy, marmalade hop. Notes of burnt grapefruit. Some candied orange. Touch of oily herb. Taste is jammy and spicy marmalade sweet. Some punchy hop bitterness. Lovely mouthfeel. Easy drinking, and nicely smooth. Bitterness rises and lingers on the finish. Not big and in your face hoppy, but it’s a grower, and drinks super easy.
