From the tap at FOB, Rimini, Italy. Pours pitch black with fluffy brown foam, fine. Aroma is toasted, vanilla, nuts, a little cherries under spirit. Body is dense, with some tongue-tickling carbonation, quite some stickiness. Taste is predominantly sweet in the beginning, with some enjoyable old school bitterness coming through then and carrying on afterwards. Finish is long and smooth.

Keg at the Hop Locker - London. Pours deep brown with a dense, lingering mocha cap. Lots of dark sugars in the nose, ripe berries, raisins. Heavy sweet flavour with mellow ashy roast, burnt marshmallows, more raisins, old banana, dates and figs, earth, toffee. Full bodied, oily and chewy, with fine carbonation. Sticky in the finish with more toasted malts, scorched earth, ripe berries, toasted toffee, fruitcake. Pretty full on. Enjoyable in small doses.
