Our first beer out of our new brewery is a homage to our building's former life as a Toaster Pastry factory. Biscuit malts give the beer a slightly nutty, crust-like flavor, complementing the fruity, jammy character of the hops. The toasty-sweet aroma, balanced by a bite of hops, makes this one of our favorite brews yet

16oz can from Lucky Supermarket
Clear amber with a medium sized off-white head, good lacing. Aroma is malty and caramel. Taste of caramel, dusty malts and citrus
After I drank this I noticed the best by date was last month, this went down hill fast

.5l can from Brewers Haven. Hazy orange amber body with tight creamy head. .Fruity, but not citrusy, hoppy nose, taste brings a bit more astringency. But underneath it all, you can detect the Strawberry Pop Tart flavor they were trying for. Nice.

16 ounce can (I guess, it’s big) from Uptown Market. Pours a clear amber color with a medium white head. A big fruity toasted nose with caramel. A nice flavor heavy malt forward, caramel, big tropical hops put this solidly in 2016 with a real flavorful punch. Medium bitter finish. Great beer.

How can you not try a beer with a name like this? Poured up at Fat Angel in SF where the tall ass can pours with a hazy deep copper body that supports a light tan head. The aroma offers up lightly roasted malts, crystal malts, sweet malts and light citrus and pine hops. The taste delivers malt sweetened pine hops, a dash of sweet malts and a sliver of citrus. Pretty nice with modest bitterness amid the malt bill.

Can sample at a Red Ale tasting at the Beer & Beyond shop. Copper to amber color with a beige head. Aroma of piney and fruity hops, slightly stale, with some malt. Flavor has sweetish malt, a bit caramelly, and fruity and piney hops, slightly stale, with nice bitterness. Medium-bodied. Decent.

On tap at Crafted. Pours clear dark amber with a thick beige head with great retention and lace. Aroma is toasty, earthy. Taste is medium bitter with significant toasted malt. Nice hoppy bitterness playing alongside the toasty malt. Perfectly creamy mouthfeel. I’m really liking this.

16oz can? I guess so. Pours a hazy brick red amber with some creamy, lacing slightly off white head. Nose has malt, cracker, toffee, orange, a little dried berry. Flavor has some citrus rind, again a bit of jamminess, toffee, biscuit. Bitter and dry on the finish.

Can from Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours dark copper with a foamy beige head. Aroma of strange fruits over somewhat roasty malt. Med + body. Flavor is amber - including nuts and a bit of chocolate - but there’s a good deal of hop. I’m thinking tropical with just a bit of citrus. Could be kiwi fruit. Goes a bit earthy with time.
