Cask at Craft Clerkenwell, , Saturday 13th February 2016 Pours dark brown edging to black with a slim head. Some light cocoa touches and milk chocolate a touch of burnt wood. Described as a breakfast stout, this is considerably weaker than many of this ilk, but it is a pleasant stout, though perhaps lacks a little body and is a bit thin. A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov13 3.2

Cask at Craft Clerko. It pours black with a decent, bubbly beige head. The nose is bitter - sweet, roasted malt, charred wood, dark chocolate, coffee and some sweet bubblegum. The taste is bitter, charred wood, hard roast, coffee grounds, earth, light ash, peppery spice, liquorice mild acidity and umami with a lingering charred wood. Light - medium body and soft carbonation. Pretty flavoursome for the abv. Decent gear, especially the aroma. Taste is a touch dry, but not bad.
