Fat på MBCC 2017. Smak och doft av hallon, körsbär, hallonkärnor, körsbärskärnor, körsbärssylt- och saft med toner av ekträ. Fin syrlighet och sötma, bra balans och beska.

750mL bottle drunk 7/8/17.
More kriek and less purple in the color, obviously. Good clarity, leaving the sediment behind and a fleeting ring of red-tinged bubbles.
Slightly less jammy than The Purple, with more tart cherry and a bit more peppery spice. Lots of tannin and fruit, with low-to-moderate lactic and acetic acid adding depth and complexity without dominating. Gentle oak suggestions on the finish with boisterous cherry notes showing more spice and light medicinal character.
Again it's tannic and acidic and very, very dry, with a definite need for more malt depth. Acids are pretty restrained for a De Garde beer, but the extreme dryness and tannin pronounce them anyways and so it comes off more acidic/sour than it really should. I like the use of the cherries here as they both add back a little more sweetness and body, at least perception-wise. Tight carbonation, as always. Just needs a little more oomph, but of course, the fruit is done phenomenally well.

Bottle pours a deep dark pink with a light pink fizzy head. Big, prominant berry and cherry aroma with some tart funkiness. Less so of the fruit in the flavors, but a very dry tary character and hits of the raspberries.

Tap@MBCC May 2017, Copenhagen - pours purple with a pink ringed head. Sour fruity assault of rich raspberries and cherries, medium to high acidic, berry fruits, medium body, wooden oak accents, sharp tart fruity close.

Conor shared this 750 ml Bottle. Pink / reddish color, thin pink head. Aroma is awesome! Raspberry, cherry skins, lactic notes. The flavor is borderline too sour and tartness. I prefer the other De Gard I sampled today much more. This is heartburn waiting to happen. To much will give massive acid reflux. Not a favorite.

A cloudy purple red color. No head. The aroma is insane. Cherry beer and apples. Flavor. Very juicy. Whoa. Way too sour. Apple and vinegar juice.
