Baby Wheel is an almost all-English hopped IPA* brewed by a Bostonian. All English hops in a Siren beer you ask? Well this is something we ain’t ever seen before, and we can’t wait to find out what you make of it. This one will be appearing in bars and pubs near you over the next week or so, bonus points to anyone who knows where ‘Baby Wheel’ gets its name! *One of our brewers couldn’t resist a sneaky sprinkling of American hops too.

Craft (not in) St Mary’s Axe. Cask. Thanks to the crew for this one. Hazy amber beer, a few pale cream colour bubbles. Palate is smooth and semi dry. Fine carbonation. Mild caramel in the smooth malts, whisper of something nutty. Light cream. Marmalade hops. Hop spice. Floralness. Some citric peel bitterness. Pretty drinkable.

Cask at the Euston tap. Mostly clear golden orange coloured pour with a lasting stodgy off white head. Aroma is fruity berry hop, wheat, orange rind, light alcohol. Flavour is composed of semi sweet base grains, semi sweet, little sorachi like hop funk, bitter orange and grapefruit. Big bold mostly clean hop bitterness. Some grassy hop in the finish. Some alcohol presence, tangy. Palate is semi sweet, rounded, good cask condition. Lingering bitter orange.

Cask at CBC SMA - London. Pours clear gold with a tight, creamy off-white head. The nose holds toasty crackers, minerals, orange meringue. Medium sweet flavor with piney bitterness, some caramel, brown sugar, graham crackers, ripe orange. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Sweet finish, with lightly toasted bready malts, creamy toffee, gooey pine, crackers, orange. A bit sweet, but not bad overall.

Cask handpull at Craft Covent Garden. Amber slight haze lasting thin white head. Apricot peach aroma. Good condition. Some almost metallic harsh hop finish. Some dankness to the hops. OK. Just a bit harsh but condition is good.
