Baby Wheel is an almost all-English hopped IPA* brewed by a Bostonian. All English hops in a Siren beer you ask? Well this is something we ain’t ever seen before, and we can’t wait to find out what you make of it. This one will be appearing in bars and pubs near you over the next week or so, bonus points to anyone who knows where ‘Baby Wheel’ gets its name! *One of our brewers couldn’t resist a sneaky sprinkling of American hops too.

Keg at Doge Bushe, 19/05/16. Hazed amber orange with a decent egg shell white cap. Nose is melon, bread dough, slight plastic trace, tangerine , straw. Taste comprises bitter orange, caramel malt, light spice, soft bread, grain. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, earthy hop bitterness in a drying close. Ok IPA but not one I’d return to.

Cask-conditioned at the Bag O’Nails, Bristol 17/12/2015. Amber in colour, with a slight, white, head. Citrus and berry fruits, sweet cereal malts and a boozy, dryish, finish with a touch of green herb. Enjoyable.

Third, keg at Brewdog Clapham Junction. Close to clear apricot coloured body. Tiny off-white head. Smell of ripe citrus and grainy malts. Flavoured with ripe orange, mid-sweet malts and leafy hops towards the finish. Satisfying (Battersea, London 29.11.2015).

Keg at BrewDog CJ. It pours cloudy golden-amber with a decent white head. The nose is soft, sweet stone fruits, marmalade, earth and toasted grain. The taste is bitter-sweet, earthy, toasted grain, apricot, light grass, spice, wood and some alcohol boost towards the dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Definitely get the English hop character on this one. Quite a different offering from Siren. Overall not bad.

Cask handpump at The University Club, Oxford, Wednesday 2nd December 2015. Pours murky brown with a white creamy head. A big malty IPA, fruity but tastes like a big punchy even a little rustic, it’s an old fashioned traditional sorta’ IPA. A7 A4 T7 P4 Ov14 3.6

Keg @ Euston Tap. Pours hazy orange/amber. Aroma is bright and hoppy. Taste is fruity, orange, pine but with an earthy tinge to the hops. Shows it’s strength proud. Decent DIPA.
