Cask-conditioned at the Commercial Roms (JDW), Bristol March 2015. Amber with a slight, off-white, head. Sweet caramel and hedgerow fruits, a touch of leafy hop and moderately bitter finish. Good.

Cask half-pint in my local Wetherspoons on 3rd April 2015. Golden body with a white, lasting head. Semi-sweet fruity flavoured beer with a drying slightly bitter finish. Mr Average in a decent blend sort of way.

Cask at the Hope Tap (JDW). Reading. Pale amber with a thin white head. Sweet and warming fruit and spice up front with apple pie and floral notes. A little caramel too, of course, but not too much. Little bit of melon too, somewhat strangely for a beer with traditional UK hops. Fresh and tasty, more flowers and some creamy butter in the mildly bitter finish. Nice pint. Great condition on this one too, thoroughly enjoyed it.

Cask at the Willow Walk (JDW), Victoria. Amber with a loose white head; fruity aroma; soft fruity taste; and a crisp finish. Not very exciting.

On cask at the Standing Order. Appearance - golden with a proportionate head. Nose - a bit elusive. Light lemon I’d say. Then lemon curd. Taste - definitely lemon and its various other forms. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry tangy finish Overall - a decent golden ale. Wouldn’t say it was a Bitter.

Cask at the Victoria Station Spoons - London. Pours clear gold with a foamy white head. Damp leaves in the nose with hints of doughy white bread. Medium sweet flavor with lots of sugary white bread, some bitter leaves, grass, crackers, light bodied with fine carbonation. Flabby bready pale malts in the finish with further mellow grassy and leafy hops, some vague citrus and earth. So so.
