Bottle at home in London - picked up at Beermoth, Manchester. Pours clear, orange-gold with a small, foamy white head. Somewhat bland on the nose, with notes of dried pine, dry pale bread, hay. Light sweet flavour with prominent flinty minerals, chlorophenols, pale bread, bitter citrus rind. Light bodied with very fine carbonation; it’s lacking a bit in the condition department. Dry and flinty on the finish, with grassy and rindy bitterness and subtle bready sugars. Quite pedestrian.

Hazy amber beer, good pale cream coloured head. Palate is light and crisp. Thin malts, touch of dust. Good fresh orange that is also pretty pithy. Light hop spice. Finishes crisp and a little dry. Shame about the dust, otherwise pretty decent if inevitably thin.

On cask at Chesterfield Alehouse - Very refreshing pint this one. Lots of citrus and tropical notes in both the nose and taste, lime, mango, pineapple. A little pine too at the end. Decent body to it makes this a great summer ale.

Bottle: Nose is light tropical tones with lots of lime. Taste leads with pine, grapefruit rind, citrus tones with a dry lasting finish. Mouthfeel is a little thin which you would expect for the strength. It’s a very good session beer, that has a lot going on for the strength.

50cl Bottle, thanks Harmen! Probably the same as US Light, but for accuracy of the db I’ve added it anyway. Hazy golden colour, white head. Aroma of tropical fruits, citrus, grapefruit, hint of resin and pine. Flavour is dry, light malty, lots of juicy tropical fruits and refreshing citrus, firm hoppy bitter finish. Watery, highly drinkable and thirst-quenching. Nice.
