Craft Clerkenwell. Cask. Almost clear gold beer, tidy pale cream colour head. Smooth palate, semi dry, reasonable carbonation. Rich orange, marmalade and orange jam. Spicy orange and lemon. Perfurmey orange. Semi dry finish. Slight bitter linger. Very orange then and pretty tasty. Woulda been better on keg!

Craft (not in) St Mary’s Axe. Keg. Couple of pints. Yes better on keg, crisper and more refreshing and it emphasis the orange and lemon sherbet. Very drinkable.

Keg at Craft Beer Co, Brixton, London. A golden/amber coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Hoppy, citrus, orange aroma. Tastes hoppy, citrus, orange, a little grapefruit and quite bitter. Expected more from this and found it hard going.smoke,

Cask @ Mr Foley’s, Leeds. Orange in colour, with a bittered orange fruit taste that’s quite strong.

Bottle. Beer Central, Sheffield. Bit of a gusher. Hazy orange. Loads of yeasty lumps. Big, open, foamy, off white head. Orange toffee. Orange zest. Orange pith. Some oily hop. Sweet, malty background. Taste is dry, and heavy, pithy bitter. Oily palate. Too much carbonation. Finishes long, dry, punchy bitter. Does what it sets out to do. Not sure it all comes together, though.

330ml bottle from Cornelius. Pours clear golden amber, long-lasting white head. Aroma is creamy, green vegetables, dampness, yeast. Not sure this is right. Taste is cardboard with orange at the back. Happily re-rate this in future in case this a one-off infection, but this bottle is not very nice. Drain pour.

Bottle from The Beerhive. Hazy golden body with yeast flecks floating around. Thick off-white head. Excellent lacing. Aroma of orange and sweet pink grapefruit. Flavour of orange marmalade and bitter blood orange. The alcohol is well hidden. Medium body with an oily mouthfeel. Light fizz. An excellent IPA that lives up to its name.
