Bottle from Adnams Cellar and Kitchen, Holt, Norfolk. It’s a mahogany beer with a thin off-white head and a middling amount of foamy fizz. It definitely smells the part- it’s got a smoked ham and woodsmoke whiff - although it’s more muted than your Schlenkerlas. On tasting the smokiness becomes even more muted, with some light malt and toffee and- unfortunately- some metal showing through. There’s some dryness in the short finish. Overall it’s an ok beer, and maybe a good, mild introduction to smoked beers for the newcomer.

Bottled 330ml. -from Pivoljub Ljubljana. Dark amber coloured, small to medium sized off-white head, light smoke and malt in the nose. Sweetish malty, caramel, notes of dried fruits and smoke with rather short finish. Pretty average, expected better beer.

330ml bottle. Pours deep, hazy brown. Bubblegum aroma. Rather thin but quaffable smoked character. Could be better.
