Can from Deeside Drinks Emporium. Deep ruby/brown body with a thick beige head. Excellent lacing. Aroma of copper, twigs, chocolate digestive biscuit and orange peel. Flavour of flat Coca-Cola, earth, wood and roasted malts. Thin to medium body with a smooth texture. Soft fizz. Not as hoppy as I hoped it would be, but this is a decent Brown Ale.

Location: Bottle shared at Max and Andy's Tasting, 2/28/15

Aroma: The aroma of this one has a solid mix of hops and dark malts, dark fruit, chocolate
Appearance: Brown pour with a lighter brown/tan colored head
Flavor: It tastes pretty similar, good balance between the flavors, very solid
Palate: It has a fairly soft carbonation, slightly thin feel, with a light dry finish
Overall Impression: Overall, I thought this was a pretty solid one. Not an amazing beer, but something I'd drink again.

Keg at Mother Kelly’s. It pours deep brown with a decent beige head. The nose is bitter-sweet, coffee, brown sugar, earth, charred wood and toast. The taste is bitter, earthy, brown bread, roast, coffee, peppery, grapefruit rind and light floral with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate, prickly carbonation. Solid brown ale.

Keg at the taproom, 31/10/14. Chestnut brown with a moderate beige covering that clears edgeward. Nose is biscuit malt, light floral presence, earthy hops, hint of cocoa powder. Taste comprises more biscuit, toffee, light cocoa, perfumed effect, sweetish, hoppy backnotes. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok brown with a noted hop presence.

Draft at the brewery taproom. Pours clear, amber-brown with a creamy, light beige head. Toasty bread aroma with notes of chocolate, burnt caramel and ripe, dried berries. Medium sweet flavor with nice, light chalky cocoa, slight roast, grainy toasted bread, some earthy bitterness. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Well balanced on the finish with toasty pine bitterness, ripe orange, plenty of toasty, grainy brown bread, understated roast. Solid brown ale. Well executed.

Keg at The Hanging Bat. Pours clear brown, thin off-white head. Aromas are light chocolate and fruit. Not as hoppy as expected. Same is true in the taste. Light a more-highly carbonated UK brown ale. Decent enough.
